Inflatable Christmas Decorations
Decorating for Christmas in 3D
Inflatable Christmas decorations are the newest trend in yard decorating. Designed to catch the eye, inflatable decorations can reach up to 10 feet tall (3 m). On some lawns, they may even tower above the trees!
Made of heavy duty fabric (nylon and vinyl), inflatable Christmas decorations are designed to withstand wind, snow, sleet and rain - just like mail deliverers! The decorations are inflated using an electric pump that comes with the decoration. The pump is similar to those used to fill inflatable air mattresses. Simply attach the pump's hose to a valve on the decoration, flip a switch and watch the decoration start to grow. It only takes minutes for it to completely inflate. To keep the decoration in place, simply use stakes to secure its tethers to the ground. You may find that as the temperature fluctuates, the decoration may lose some air and begin to droop. In which case, just add more air. Overall this is a decoration that's relatively maintenance-free. It's even easier to store this Christmas decoration. Just let out the air, fold up the decoration and stash it away. It takes up far less room than a traditional lawn ornament.
If you take a look around your neighborhood during the holidays, you'll likely find at least one inflatable Christmas decoration. There are classic Christmas characters such as Santa and Mrs. Claus, reindeer, snowmen, Nutcracker dolls and elves. There are also popular cartoon characters and characters Christmas movies and TV specials, including Mickey Mouse, Charlie Brown, Frosty the Snowman and the Grinch.Just like other outdoor Christmas decorations, inflatables can be used to portray famous Christmas stories and traditions. The Night Before Christmas, A Christmas Carol, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and even The Grinch come to life like never before. Large and in 3-D! Or, you can create a vignette of your own design: a winter wonderland, Santa's toyshop, a toy-laden train or nutcrackers "guarding" the front door! There's one last thing to keep in mind about inflatable Christmas decorations. If you want them visible at night, either look for those that have a built-in light or use spotlights to illuminate.
